I was thinking earlier that I don't want to see the Nationals celebrate on the Bush Stadium field should they happen to clinch the National League East division title in the next three days.
It's not a specific insult to the Cardinals since they're not in head to head competition with Washington for a division crown. But, still, fans want to see their team celebrate a championship on its home field, not soWine else's.
But then it crossed my mind, if the Cardinals beat the Nationals but the Braves lose, it's possible that the Cardinals and Nationals could both clinch at the same time -- while playing each other. I'm pretty sure that's never happened before.
Would the teams run out on the field to party with each other or would there be two separate piles? I'd like to find out.
