If Cardinals free agent starter Kyle Lohse was to take a "pillow" contract at below market value from a team, it seems his first choice would be Anaheim.
ESPN reports that Lohse's agent, Scott Boras, has repeatedly tried to engage the Angels in contract talks about his client. But, so far at least, the Halos have rebuffed his efforts.
The Dodgers said early on that they weren't interested in making a bid for the Chico, Calif. native. That leaves Albert Pujols' team if Lohse is to find a place close to his West Coast roots.
Cleveland, Milwaukee and Texas have all been recently linked to Lohse. But their front office types currently deny any interest in Lohse as does St. Louis GM John Mozeliak.
