Picture yourself kicking back in a lawn chair near Veterans Memorial Fountain, glass of wine in hand to wash down a roast beef and roasted pepper panini while listening to the jazz stylings of Anita Rosamond.

Belleville’s 8th annual Wine, Dine & Jazz Festival can take you there Friday and Saturday on Belleville’s Public Square. The event, organized by Art on the Square and the city of Belleville, will include seven top St. Louis area jazz bands, seven gourmet food trucks, wine from Illinois wineries and a selection of craft beers.

Admission is free and it’s open seating. Festivalgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Drink tokens can be purchased onsite. Four wine-tasting tokens cost $5; one glass of wine is $5; beer also is $5. A souvenir Wine, Dine & Jazz glass can be purchased for $5.

If you prefer, you can reserve a table for 10 in the Wine Garden with concierge service. Tables are $200, which includes two keepsake wine carafes, an ice bucket and access to the facilities in nearby the Art on the Square building. Bottles of wine are available for purchase, with two complimentary corkings per table. Additional corkings or carafes are $5. You can request a table at winedinejazz.com.
