East St. Louis actor has appeared in at least 12 shows and films. How many have you seen?

Community is important for RobWood. The actor and East St. Louis native coaches little league football is nearby Cahokia Heights and he prioritizes times with his family. Those traits make him a natural for acting, which he decided to pursue in 2018 after one of his family members was on the brink of death.

“At the end of 2017, my dad was rushed to the hospital. He had emergency open heart surgery. He coded, but God is good. God is grateful. The doctors were saying, ‘Hey, listen. Have all of the family come in because he’s pretty much at the end of the road. (and we were like,) ‘Yea, that’s what you think? Let’s just gather around and pray.’ There’s so much power in prayer. My dad is still here. That’s when my wife came to me about acting and said she didn’t want me to leave here and not at least try it ,so I started and I’m getting better and better each year.”

Since then RobWood has appeared in Tyler Perry’s 2020 Netflix film “A Fall from Grace” and last year’s Aretha Franklin biopic “Respect,” which starred Jennifer Hudson. Here’s a list of some of his other credits:
