Things to do on Thursday

FARMERS MARKET: Get your locally grown sweet corn, tomatoes and watermelon from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday Swansea Farmers Market in the Rural King parking lot at 2801 N. Illinois. Baked goods, crafts, bratwursts and hotdogs also are avialable for purchase.

PULL, PULL, PULL: The Clinton County Fair in Carlyle has a load of pulling on tap at 7 p.m. Thursday. Admission for ITPA and IHFS Pulls is $10 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12 and free for younger than 6. If you want to get the inside scoop, get a pit pass for $20.

FREE CONCERTS: The Edwardsville Municipal Band will feature the music of Gustav Holst at 8 p.m. Thursday at City Park in Edwardsville. The Waterloo German Band will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday at Bellevue Park. Bring a lawn chair.
