Vernon Kleen, author and licensed bird bander, will give a presentation about ruby-throated hummingbirds, then will go outside to capture hummingbirds, place ID bands on them and release them back to the wild. BEACON 5K Walk/Run — 8 a.m. Saturday, Belleville West High School, 4063 Frank Scott Parkway West, Belleville. Kids 1-mile Fun Run starts after the 5K. Then help to break a record in the Metro East’s largest limbo game that starts after the Kids Run. Face painting, balloon artist, deejay. Fundraiser for Beacon Ministries, an ecumenical ministry that coordintes with about 45 local churches and charity organizzations to address poverty issues in the community.
