What’s in store for final day of Mascoutah’s homecoming?
Mascoutah’s weekend Homecoming und Augustfest comes to an end Sunday with a car show, coronation, candy-tossing at the parade and more.
Parade: The theme is Heroes, so get ready to applaud those who serve us, as they step off at 5 p.m. The parade runs from the Leu Civic Center on North Market, south to Main Street, west on Main Street to Sixth Street, north on Sixth to Scheve Park.
Pull: The heavyweights come out for the diesel smoker tractor pull.
Headliner band: The Jorrells wrap things up from 7 to 10:30 p.m.
Sunday
11 a.m. Food stands open, Supershowmanship Contest
11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tom & Kathy LaQuet at the Car Show
11 a.m.-4 p.m. Car show
Noon Project & Animal Release
1 p.m. Children’s pedal tractor pull (registration at noon)
1-4 p.m. Historic Berger-Kiel Log House open, ride matinee
1-4:30 p.m. Highway 15 band at the Depot
3 p.m. Queen coronation
5 p.m. Grand parade
6-9 p.m. Turnpike Cruiser at the Pole Barn
7-10:30 p.m. The Jorrells at the Depot
7 p.m. Diesel Smoker Tractor Pull
10 p.m. Drawing for $3,000, $1,500 and $500.
