Things to do Thursday: Band concert, Nina and Pinta, Grange barbecue

FREE CONCERT: The Edwardsville Municipal Band concert at 8 p.m. Thursday at Edwardsville City Park will feature the music of American composer Aaron Copeland. The First Christian Church Youth Group will operate the concession stand.

COLUMBUS’ SHIPS: You can board and tour replicas of the Nina and the Pinta from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at The Loading Dock Restaurant dock, 401 Front St., Grafton. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 seniors, $6 students 5-16, 4 and younger board free. No reservations necessary.

GRANGE BARBECUE: Tired of the same old same old dinner? Stop by Turkey Hill Grange between 4 and 7 p.m. Thursday and let the nice folks there barbecue some pork steaks or brats for you with lots of side choices and desserts. The grange is at the corner of Illinois 15 and Greenmount Road in Belleville. Carryouts are available.
