Things to do Wednesday: Cahokia Mounds exhibit, car cruise, farmer’s market

FARMER’S MARKET: You’l find local honey, homemade jams and jellies, fresh produce, plants and more at New Baden’s Farmer’s Market from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at New Baden Community Park.

ANCIENT CANOE: Check out the “Wetlands and Waterways: the Key to Cahokia” exhibit at Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site, open until 5 p.m. Wednesday. It focuses on life along the rivers and wetlands of the Mississippi Valley that gave rise to Cahokia Mounds. The highlight is a 700-year-old restored cypress canoe.

CAR CRUISE: Bring your bucket of bolts to the car cruise at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Dandy Inn, 1030 Lincoln Highway, Fairview Heights. It surely will like the company.
