Things to do Tuesday: Put a little art in your day

FOUR ARTISTS: The Schmidt Art Center at Southwestern Illinois College’s Belleville campus has the artwork of four artists on exhibit through Oct. 15. The exhibits are: “Codex Isom” by former Belleville East art teacher Ron Isom, a study of the heart, soul and mind that creates esoteric connections to the universe; “Vertical Series” by Florin Hategan, large-scale figurative prints of young adults, who represent the struggle with identity and intergration; “A Moment in Time” by Stewart Halperin, a photographic journey of light, color, subject and movement that align to offer a moment unfolded; and “letting go, to seed” by Jessica White, outdoor birdseed drawings that reflect the transcience of nature and people. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

ST. LOUIS ART MUSEUM: Take a sculpture tour at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and check out the exhibit “Senufo: Art and Identity in West Africa” at the St. Louis Art Museum in Forest Park. Then try the chicken parmesan or buttered penne pasta at the Panorama Restaurant, with its amazing view of Forest Park.
