Things to do Thursday: Humane Society fundraiser and Swansea Farmer’s Market

WINE FOR WHISKERS: Belleville Area Humane Society will hold its Wine for Whiskers fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at The Weingarten, 1780 East Illinois 15 in Belleville. It includes wine, food entertainment, a silent auction and raffle. Tickets cost $30 at www.bahspets.com, Dog Day Afternoon or the Humane Society shelter. FARMER’S MARKET: You can purchase locally grown produce, baked goods, eggs and crafts at Swansea Farmer’s Market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday on the Rural King parking lot, 2801 N. Illinois in Swansea. Have a brat or hot dog for lunch, too.
