‘Days of Our Lives' Summer Sizzle Teases Babies, Romance and Murder
As temperatures begin to rise, so does the drama on Peacock's long-running soap operaDays of Our Lives.
In Us Weekly's exclusive summer sizzle, viewers are getting a shocking tease of what's to come in Salem.
"When legacies are built on lies, even love leaves a scar," a trailer hints about the troubles ahead. "Not every wound heals, not every bond survives. In Salem, even the innocent have something to hide."
Caught up in the middle of some serious drama is businessman EJ DiMera (played by Dan Feuerriegel).
After Philip Kiriakis (JP Lavoisier) warns his friends that EJ found out people were using DiMera money to make loan payments, some people may just "lose everything."
"Everything I do, every decision, every sacrifice," EJ says, "I did for this family."
Some of his actions, however, may come at a serious cost. In a separate scene, EJ is seen losing his cool as he yells, "You tried to murder my son."
Later on, EJ confronts Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) as she works in the hospital.
"She doesn't need your help!" he says. Sarah replies, "Are you firing me?"
In true Days of Our Lives fashion, romantic relationships continue to face some highs and lows. Sarah is seen kissing Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), leaving some to wonder if she's officially done with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).
As for Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), she's trying her best to remain calm before she welcomes a baby into the world. When tainted drugs surface in Salem, a public health crisis could threaten the safety of her child.
"I need to know about the effects on my baby," she says.
Back in July 2025, Peacock confirmed that Days of Our Lives will return for its 62nd and 63rd seasons on the streaming service.
Each episode follows the lives, loves and conflicts of the Horton, Brady, DiMera, Kiriakis and Hernandez families and their many friends and colleagues.
After more than 15,000 episodes across the globe, the twists and turns in Salem continue to shock the show's cast. The bonds formed on and off camera make every OMG moment worth it.
"We film 10 months in advance," Cherie Jimenez, who plays Gabi Hernandez, previously told Us Weekly in November 2025. "The Hernandez family and the relationship we've built is so beautiful and so authentic, and it feels like family."
Godfrey, 38, added, "The best part [is] the family you made. … I have this huge, extended family, and it's so great. It's such an amazing experience, and it's not anything I ever imagined I would have."
Days of Our Lives streams weekdays on Peacock.
