Zendaya and Tom Holland Make Rare Joint Appearance After Marriage Rumors
Zendaya and Tom Holland made Us swoon with a rare red carpet appearance celebrating their new movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The couple were all smiles as they kicked off the film's press tour in Madrid on Monday, June 15. Holland, 30, posed with a protective arm around Zendaya, 29, who served drama in a strapless black dress with a high slit.
Holland and Zendaya have starred as Peter Parker and MJ in the superhero franchise since 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, sparking a real-life romance along the way. While the pair are endlessly supportive of one another's careers, they rarely pose together for major events.
"It's not my moment, it's her moment, and if we go together, it's about us," Holland previously told Men's Health in January 2025 about avoiding the public attention.
Us Weeklyconfirmed the couple's engagement that same month after Zendaya was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left hand at the 2025 Golden Globes, which Holland did not attend.
One year later, rumors swirled that the pair quietly tied the knot after Zendaya's longtime stylist Law Roach claimed at the 2026 Actor Awards that "the wedding has already happened." Roach doubled down on his comments at the 2026 Oscars, teasing to Extra, "I said what I said."
Zendaya played coy about the speculation during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in March. "I haven't seen any of that," she said with a laugh.
When asked whether any family members were fooled by AI-generated photos of the couple on their supposed wedding day, Zendaya added, "Many people have been fooled by them while I was just out and about in real life. People are like, ‘Oh, my God, your wedding photos are gorgeous!' I was like, ‘Babe, they're AI! They're not real!'"
The following month, Zendaya spoke candidly about the widespread interest in her personal life during an episode of "The New York Times' Modern Love" podcast.
"I just feel like for me there is this level of a parasocial investment in my personal relationship," she said in April. "I do know that I'm a public person and so is he, and I'm also aware that we've grown up in front of people and we've done movies where we fall in love with each other, so I really do understand that and I don't want to dismiss that like, ‘Stay out of my business,' or whatever."
Zendaya emphasized that she's "a very private person" who likes to keep some aspects of her life just for herself and Holland.
"I hear it, but also my own little boundaries of what I like to bring up and talk about, but then also what I'm willing to share," she continued, noting that she and Holland aren't trying to "hide from the world."
Instead, the couple want to "preserve things" for themselves. "We can maintain that joy just within ourselves and our loved ones and our family," Zendaya explained.
