Anne Hathaway Reacts After Realizing She Wore Maternity Look Backwards

Anne Hathaway‘s backwards maternity look was not intentional.

Hathaway, 43, took to TikTok on Wednesday, July 1, to react to news that she wore her red Ashlyn Bowes jumpsuit backwards. In the clip, she zoomed in on multiple outlets' headlines calling out her hilarious fashion mix-up.

Hathaway, who is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, then cut the camera to herself in the look, questioning, "I did?" The Devil Wears Prada star then shrugged and tucked her hair behind her ear. "I did," she whispered while cringing.

"😮😃🫠," Hathaway captioned the post. Her fans laughed along with her in the comments section.

"It looks good both ways," one wrote, while another added, "At least that's the good thing about being famous is that when u make a mistake people think it's intentional 😭😭." A third commented, "Didn't notice, it's okay queen."

In Hathaway's defense, the design could easily be mistaken, and worked either way. The piece, which retails for $2,300, features a boat neck with a scoop back, long sleeves, a symmetrical basque waist and a ruffled peplum detail. The pants are baggy too, making it fit backwards.

Hathaway styled the look, which she wore while out and about in New York City, with Bulgari serpent hoop earrings and a coordinating necklace and watch, both by the designer. She completed her stylish ensemble with Aquazzura pumps and a heart-shaped Alaïa shoulder bag.

For glam, she donned soft makeup including blushed cheeks, manicured brows and pink, glossy lips. Her brunette hair was parted down the middle and styled in a blowout.

Hathaway announced that she and Shulman, 45, are expecting their third baby via social media on June 19. The couple, who tied the knot in 2012 are also the parents of sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6.
