What qualifies you for this position?

“I was elected mayor in 2011. We had a council that was very divided. My goal was to have everyone work together to benefit the community. I am proud to say we achieved that goal. Our town has grown and continues to prosper. I believe in networking with community leaders from other towns. I have great relationships with mayors of surrounding communities, and we help each other at anytime we need. We developed dialogue with our legislators to assist with growth. I will continue to build on their friendships to keep our town moving forward.”

What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?

“Growing jobs in the area is a top priority. Red Bud has an excellent Economic Development Committee, and we have a robust program to assist industrial and retail development in our community. We have funds available to assist businesses to expand or relocate to the community. We have assisted existing facilities to expand and add new jobs. We intend to continue this expansion and hope to attract new business to the area that compliments existing business rather than be considered competitively disadvantaged.”
