Age: 47
Family status: Married
Education: Bachelor of arts in criminal justice and minor in psychology from McKendree College, 1990.
Occupation: 20th Judicial Circuit, supervisor/probation officer
Political party: Independent
Office sought: Alderman O’Fallon Ward 3
Previously held office: Alderman O’Fallon Ward 3, 2011-present
What qualifies you for this position?
“I believe that I have demonstrated over the last four years my willingness to be available to the citizens of Ward 3. One of the ways that I have done this is by holding Town Hall meetings every six months so that citizens can ask questions, bring up problems and be made aware of what is going to occur in the ward and the city. I have worked with others on this council to have several projects completed and new ones planned that will improve the storm water drainage in our ward.”
What is the top issue in your race, and how would you address it?
“Preserving and improving the services and infrastructure of our city. I will work to see that they get the attention they need and that they are adequately financed. I will put more emphasis on infrastructure, many of which have been ignored for years. An example of this is keeping the plans moving forward that we have established for improving the streets and drainage on the Presidential and surrounding streets. Since the video gaming was passed by the citizens in November 2014 and by this city council in February 2015, I will work with this city council to allocate the 5 percent revenue that the city will receive from each machine to use it for infrastructure.”
