Former St. Louis Cardinals slugger Jack Clark will visit GCS Ballpark on Saturday prior to the Gateway Grizzlies’ game against the Lake Erie Crushers, presented by Mckendree University.
Clark will hold a meet and greet with VIP ticket-holders prior to the game. He will throw out a ceremonial first pitch while also coaching first and third base for the Grizzlies. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on items signed by Clark during the game.
Aside from the Clark festivities, McKendree University also sponsors a tumbler cup giveaway — available to the first 500 fans through the gate. First pitch is 7 p.m.
A four-time all-star and two-time Silver Slugger award winner, Clark played for the Cardinals from 1985 to 1987. He won a Silver Slugger Award in 1985 and hit 340 home runs during his career with five teams.
