Things to do Monday: Cards on big screen, quilting bee

BIG GAME 3: A big game is even bigger if you watch it on the big screen at the Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville. Watch the Cardinals and Cubs tangle in game 3 of the National League Division playoff series at 5:07 p.m. Monday on the theater’s 450-square-foot screen. Admission is free. Cold beverages and popcorn will be available for purchase. Doors open 45 minutes before game time.

QUILTING BEE: The Ladies Altar Society and Quilt Committee will hold a quilting bee from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday and 5:45-9 p.m. Tuesday in St. George Parish’s quilting room, 318 E. Maple St., New Baden. Quilting lessons will be available for anyone who wants to try quilting. Homemade dinner and refreshments will be served througout the day, and there will be attendance prizes for everyone.
