Things to do Tuesday: $2 movie; “Gettysburg Address”; watch the stars

“GETTYSBURG ADDRESS”: A commemoration of the 152nd anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s “Gettysburg Address” will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Belleville Public Library, 121 E. Washington in Belleville. Sponsored by the Civil War Living History Regiment, it will feature a color guard, Civil War soldier re-enactors, a reading of the address, a Lincoln display, Civil War-era music and a sing-along with “When Johnny Comes Marching Home.” Robert L. Cook, of Southwestern Illinois College’s speakers bureau, will give a presentation on “Lincoln at Gettysburg.”

STARGAZING PARTY: The Belleville Public Library will hold a stargazing party, with telescopes available for viewing, from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Call 618-234-0441 to register.

“NORTH BY NORTHWEST”: The Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville will show Alfred Hitchcock’s thriller “North by Northwest,” starring Cary Grant and Eva Marie Saint, at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Tickets are just $2, available only on Tuesday night, one hour before showtime.

FREE YOGA CLASSES: The Edwardsville Parks & Recreation Department is offing free yoga clases from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays, November through May, on the third floor of the Wildey Theatre.
