Things to do Monday: Shop, say ‘hi’ to Santa, comfort for the homeless
CHRISTKINDLMARKT: You have only three days left to shop at the open air holiday market on Belleville’s Public Square. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Wednesday.
VISIT SANTA: Santa will be in his house on the northeast corner of the Belleville Public Square from noon to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
HOMELESS MEMORIAL: The Cathedral of St. Peter and the St. Vincent de Paul Society will hold the fifth annual National Homeless Persons Memorial from 5:30 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday at 200W. Harrison St. in Belleville. All homeless people are invited for 12 hours of comfort from the cold on the longest night of the year. Soup and bread will be served in the school cafeteria, followed by a candlelight procession to the church basement.
