Things to do Monday: MKL observance, minority scientists, Cardinals Warmup

REMEMBERING KING: Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church will host a Martin Luther King Day program at noon Monday at 1111 Dr. R.B. Lyles Drive in East St. Louis. Pastor Vincent D. Collins is the speaker.

MINORITY SCIENTISTS SHOWCASE: Entering it’s 26th year, Minority Scientists Showcase highlights the work of local scientists from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. This event, free and open to the public, features exhibitors with tabletop activities, performances and demonstrations. The Omnimax Theater today features “Robots” at 11 a.m.; “Jerusalem” at 10 a.m. and “Born to Be Wild” at noon (Tickets: $10 adults; $9 children, seniors, college students; $7 military); “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at 1, 3:30, 6 and 8:30 p.m. (Tickets: $15.50; $13.50).

CARDINALS WARMUP: The Cardinals Care Winter Warmup continues from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, 315 Chestnut St. in St. Louis. Passes are $40 for fans 16 and over, $10 for kids 5 to 15, free for children under 5. There are extra charges for some players’ autographs; some are free.
