Things to do Tuesday: Concert, $2 classic movie, mall walk

LANCER CONCERT BANDS — A concert featuring the Belleville East Symphonic Band, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Wind Ensemble is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Performing Arts Center on the Belleville East campus, 2555 West Blvd. in Belleville. Admission is $5; free for children under 5. Donations for the Lancers new uniform fund will be accepted.

‘TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD’ — To commemorate the recent death of author Harper Lee, the Wildey Theatre in Edwardsville will screen the 1962 movie “To Kill A Mockingbird.” Tickets are $2 and are available one hour before showtime.

Harper Lee's hometown of Monroeville, Ala. brings her famed book "To Kill a Mockingbird" to life on a local stage each year. The town inspired the setting for the iconic book. Lee died Friday at the age of 89. (Originally published: July 14, 2015)

5K/10K WALK — The Illinois Trekkers Volkssport Club will hold a 5K/10K walk at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Clair Mall in Fairview Heights.
