YMCA, Camp Ondessonk, SWIC, others will keep your kids busy this summer

As the school year winds down, parents must decide how their children will spend the summer months.

Belleville News-Democrat education reporter Mary Cooley has compiled a list of area summer camps including ones offered at local branches of the YMCA, Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, O’Fallon Parks and Rec, Belleville Parks and Rec and Camp Ondessonk, among others.

Here’s a list of camps organized by month:

May Camps: YMCA, Camp Ondessonk, others offer variety of camps for children

June Camps: Belleville East, YMCA, SWIC offer camps for kids

July Camps: Spend the summer at the YMCA, SWIC, Camp Ondessonk

August Camps: YMCA, O’Fallon Parks and Rec, SWIC host camps
