SUMMER CAMP: TreeHouse Wildlife Center, 23956 Green Acres Road in Dow, invites children to watch wildlife rehabbers treat sick, injured and orphaned animals and learn about the relationship between humans, wildlife and nature at two-day camps. YMCA BASH AND DASH: The YMCA, 424 Lebanon Ave. in Belleville, will hold a Back-to-School Bash & Dash with a 5K run/walk, 1/2-mile Fun Run for small children, games, giveaways, a D.J., photo booth and attendance prizes on Aug. 6. The bash is free. Registration for the dash costs $25 for the 5K and $10 for the Fun Run through July 24 ($20 and $15 July 25 through Aug. 6).

TRADITIONAL COUNTRY: The Caseyville-based Traditional Country Music Foundation will sponsor a fundraising concert to help save “The Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree,” a Nashville radio show that’s been on the air since 1947 (it has run into financial problems). The concert will begin at 2 p.m. July 12 at the American Legion Hall, 1022 Vandalia in Collinsville. It will include tributes to country music legends such as Ray Price, George Jones, Patsy Cline, Ernest Tubb (by his nephew, Glenn), Hank Williams Sr. and Willie Nelson, as well as performances by The Legends, Night Ryders, Ross Key and Bill White.
