Antique lovers, rejoice! Alton shop offers big discounts before closing its doors
Back in March, I reported that J&P’s Edelweiss in Alton is closing at the end of October so the owner, James Heinemeier, could retire.
Well, Heinemeier called this week to say he’s still selling what’s left of the merchandise in his shop. He shared that all merchandise is currently 50% off. (Huzzah! Treasure hunters rejoice!)
Heinemeier is also selling off the shop’s shelving units, display cases and other fixtures and equipment. (If you need book shelves, this is the place to find them.)
If you haven’t already been there — heck, even if you already have — don’t miss your chance to score some great collectibles before all the good stuff is gone.
I plan to go back (again) and see if some of the treasures I had my eye on before are still available. (I picked up a cute little green glass bowl, a wooden cigar box and an old Brownie camera during my last visit.)
All transactions are by cash or check (with ID) only.
J&P’s Edelweiss is located at 435 E. Broadway, Alton. Store hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. Call 618-741-8749 for more info.
