Sweet Bull Terrier With ‘Broken Heart Nose' Has the Best Transformation
Being in the shelter is a surefire way to break a dog's heart, even if they're the happiest dog in the world. It's just so hard for them, and for some, they stay there for a long time before finding their forever homes. It's all just so sad.
Luckily for one Bull Terrier, her time came to find a forever home. Her family just couldn't pass her up: when they saw her, they saw that her nose literally formed the shape of a broken heart. There was no way they were leaving her behind, and then the coolest thing happened:

Sugar the Bull Terrier checks all the boxes for me: heartwarming story, Target dog, heart nose. There's no getting better than that. Plus, she's very sweet, according to her new family!

They adopted Sugar in 2024: animal control picked her up off the streets and brought her to the shelter. She would have been around 1 then, so still just a puppy, and she was really having a hard time. You could literally see it on her face: her nose looked like a broken heart!
Her new family adopted her after she had spent a little time in the shelter, and she was ready to go home. Pretty much as soon as she got there, she started to heal completely. Even her heart nose started to mend, and now it forms a full heart:

She's also a diva who loves to wear clothes, which is exactly the type of life she deserves to live. She has a whole bunch of different outfits, and she likes to choose based on her mood. She's so easygoing that she even lets her mom put sunglasses on her.
They really lucked out with this sweetie pie, that's for sure. She's one of a kind, and I'm so grateful they share her antics with us!
Bull Terriers Are the Kindest Dogs
The Bull Terrier is a severely underappreciated breed. Most people know them because of the Target dog, Bullseye, but that's pretty much it. They're kind of uncommon to see, but they're some of the best dogs ever! I've never met one who wasn't a total sweetheart.
Bull Terriers are a mid-sized breed that does great with kids, other dogs, and even cats in the right circumstances. They're energetic and excellent listeners, which makes them perfect for:
- Joining you for runs and hikes.
- Taking trips to the dog park to socialize.
- Accompanying you to pet-friendly stores.
You just have to be okay with them begging everybody for pets, because they will. There's just no way around it!
