So many people are seeing interesting things when they look out their window these days.

Case in point: One person looks out theirs to see a German Shepherd strolling down the road. Not so weird. It's probably the neighbor's dog. The German Shepherd appears to have a small companion right alongside of him. Cute. Looks like a puppy...

Except, it's not a puppy... it's a wild baby boar. Just wait until you get a load of this precious and unlikely animal friendship.

I look out my kitchen window earlier and think I'm seeing the neighbors German Shepard walking down the road with a small fuzzy puppy in tow. WRONG. Turns out it's a wild boar piglet and they're BESTIES @Shelby Lynn took the video from our porch!! #fyp#animals#besties#oddcouple#germanshepherd

They're the walking embodiment of a great new Disney premise for an animated feature, LOL.

Lots of people in the comments are complimenting the little boar on their life choices. "Not just a friend, but a superior protector, that is one smart little pig!" said one viewer. "Piglet has a bodyguard," said another. "Best security detail Wilbur could have," joked another.

Others noticed the attitude from the Shepherd: "I love the look he gives you. It's like, is THERE A FREAKING PROBLEM HERE?" remarked one commenter. But many also noticed the fact that, "Friends come in all shapes and sizes," as one viewer put it.

Why Dogs Think Everyone and Everything Is Their Friend

Dogs really do move through life assuming that everyone is on "Team Dog." Whether it be other people, dogs-even random animals they have no knowledge of, and really no business trusting. They don't care. If an interaction feels good and nonthreatening, they're in it.

And, science, as always, has a reason for the logic behind this. Dogs are "hypersocial", which means they have "a genetic predisposition that allows them to form bonds across species."

Research on working and guardian dogs shows that they're able to form deep bonds with animals that aren't even their own species. It's how they're able to live with sheep or goats peacefully instead of feeling competitive or like they need to chase them constantly.

That instinct to connect isn't unusual, but still won't prepare you for actually seeing a German Shepherd and a baby boar who are out taking on the world together. It's strange, but also exactly what you should expect.
