QC Airport sees 6% increase in passenger traffic
Quad Cities International Airport (QC Airport) reported a 6% year-over-year increase in passenger traffic for May 2026 compared to May 2025, marking the airport's highest monthly total since October 2019.
A total of 65,467 passengers traveled through the airport in May, reflecting a continued upward trajectory in regional air travel demand. The previous high mark set in October 2019 totaled 65,572 monthly passengers.
"These results demonstrate the importance of added frequency and improved connectivity for Quad Cities travelers," said Ashleigh Johnston, Public Relations and Marketing Manager, Quad Cities International Airport. "When airlines add seats in our market, it gives passengers more options to fly locally and helps us show how the region responds to expanded service. That's an important message as we continue working to attract additional air service to the region."
The increase is supported by an additional daily frequency to Atlanta through Delta Air Lines that began in May, as well as additional frequencies to Chicago O'Hare with United Airlines. American Airlines also intermittently adds a third daily frequency to Dallas-Ft. Worth during peak demand times.
