Mardi Gras Costume Ball
The Eastside Mardi Gras Association will present a Mardi Gras Costume Ball Jan. 30 at Fischer’s Restaurant, 2100 W. Main St. in Belleville. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; music by Zydeco Crawdaddys, 8 p.m.-midnight. Cost: $30 per person; $50 per couple (in advance); $35 per person (at the door). Admission includes, strand of beads, draft beer, Cajun-style buffet, snacks, door prizes, award for best costume, 50/50 drawing, boatload of booze raffle, lottery tree raffle, photo booth. The Troy/Edwardsville Shrine Club of the Ainad Shriners offers a clinic for children with bone, muscle or joint problems from 9 to 11 a.m. on March 5, at Anderson Hospital, 6800 Illinois 162, Maryville.
