If you’re ever in the Forest Park area of St. Louis when hunger hits and you aren’t sure where to go, give The Food Hall at City Foundry STL a try.

The Food Hall, which opened Wednesday, Aug. 11, is now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has “11 different kitchens featuring unique concepts and cuisines,” according to an Aug. 9 release. Each kitchen has its own operating hours and offers takeout and indoor dining options. Most kitchens will also have online ordering. Outdoor seating will be available starting in September, added the release.

Available fare will feature “a wide variety of diverse cuisines, including authentic crepes, hand-crafted artisan desserts, Pan-Indian dosas, Argentinian empanadas and more,” the release states.

Three kitchens will serve breakfast, all 11 will serve lunch and around 8-10 of them will be open for dinner and evening drinks.

The eateries include:

  • Buenos Aires Café, lunch and dinner

  • Chez Ali, lunch and dinner

  • Good Day, breakfast and lunch

  • Hello Poke, lunch and dinner

  • Kalbi Taco Shack, lunch and dinner

  • Kitchen Bar, lunch and dinner

  • Patty’s Cheesecake, breakfast, lunch and dinner

  • Poptimism STL, lunch and dinner

  • Press Waffle Co., breakfast, lunch and dinner

  • Sub Division Sandwich Co., lunch and dinner

  • Turmeric Street Style, lunch and dinner

Four additional kitchens will be added throughout September and October, making a total of 15 eateries for visitors to enjoy.

In its first five days of operation, stated an Aug. 20 release, The Food Hall already welcomed more than 15,000 guests. Due to the overwhelming response from the community, The Food Hall will operate Wednesday-Monday for the time being, “closing on Tuesdays to allow the food hall kitchens and staff to reset for the week,” said the release. The Food Hall was originally planned to operate seven days a week.

Susie Bonwich, director of operations stated, “The St. Louis community not only embraced our vision for St. Louis’ first true food hall, but also extended kindness and grace to all of our kitchen operators who are learning the ropes. We are so thankful for the support.”

In response to the success at City Foundry STL, all kitchens are looking to expand their teams. If you’re interested in being part of the City Foundry STL team or any of the kitchens, contact jobs@cityfoundrystl.com.

Free parking is available on three different lots at City Foundry STL. There is also a parking garage located off Forest Park Avenue.

In addition to The Food Hall, City Foundry STL includes shops, offices and entertainment spaces. It was transformed from the old Federal-Mogul manufacturing foundry and “pays homage to the city’s industrial roots,” according to the latest release.

City Foundry STL is located at 3730 Foundry Way in St. Louis. The Food Hall is currently open Wednesday-Monday with hours varying by kitchen. For more information, visit cityfoundrystl.com.
