New bakery coming to Granite City. Collinsville gets a new fast-food Asian restaurant

A new bakery is coming to Granite City this fall.

Sweet Treats From the Hart has leased retail space at 1300 Schaefer Road, Suite E, according to a list of recent real estate transactions from BarberMurphy. The bakery announced its new location in a Sept. 30 Facebook post.

The Sweet Treats Facebook page includes photos of a variety of homemade cakes, cookies and cupcakes for any occasion.

According to owner and baker Kimberly Godar, they hope to open in early November and will be offering pies for Thanksgiving.

New restaurant in Collinsville

Stir Hibachi, a new fast food Asian restaurant, opened this week in Collinsville.

The restaurant’s menu includes carryout teriyaki dishes, grab-n-go, no-wait sushi, and other Asian dishes at affordable prices.

The restaurant is also hiring kitchen staff with sushi and hibachi experience. Anyone interested in applying can call 618-920-1253.
