Who Dat’s Southern Food at 118 E. Main St. in Collinsville is permanently closed and a sports bar will be moving in soon.

The restaurant’s last day of service was Sunday, Feb. 12, and was previously announced by the business on Facebook.

The Feb. 6 post stated, “We would like to thank Who Dat Nation for all of the support through the years. It’s hard to put into words what y’all have given us. The irreplaceable fun, laughter and countless memories will forever be with us. Thank you for treating us, and our employees like extended family.”

A message sent to Who Dat’s prior to closing was not returned.

Who Dat’s Southern Food opened its first location at 123 N. Main St., Columbia, in November 2010.

A second location opened in 2015 at 1595 Troy O’Fallon Road in Troy and relocated to Collinsville in September 2018.

The Columbia location remains open.

The building at 118 E. Main St. won’t be left vacant.

The Lucky Fox, currently located at 1101 Caseyville Road, Caseyville, is moving to the location.

The sports bar shared news of the move via Facebook in a Feb. 7 post that stated, “We couldn’t be more excited and hope all our loyal, wonderful customers continue to visit us.”

Nate Shaw, kitchen manager at The Lucky Fox, said in a phone interview that the move will be a “pretty awesome transition.”

He is bringing the full menu from the Caseyville sports bar to Collinsville.

Shaw is also working with kitchen staff from Who Dat’s in hopes of including some of the popular items from their menu as well.

He said that March 1 is the date he is aiming to reopen.

However, depending on how smoothly approvals from the City of Collinsville go, opening could possibly be delayed a day or two, according to Shaw.

A message for Lucky Fox owner Michelle Enloe was not immediately returned.

Keep an eye on The Lucky Fox Facebook page for updates.
