Although metro-east live music fans will no longer be able to enjoy Silver Creek Saloon & Grill, southwestern Illinois is home to many restaurants and bars offering entertainment.

The business’ owner and operator said Tuesday he has permanently closed the bar, according to previous News-Democrat reporting, citing coronavirus restrictions among other reasons.

But southwestern Illinois residents will still have plenty of options for places offering food, drinks and live music, including Venue on Main, Pop’s in Sauget, Eckert’s Cider Shed and Pete’s Hard-Stop.

Here are five more restaurants and bars providing live music in the metro-east:

The Stagger Inn

The Stagger Inn, located in Edwardsville, offers live music along with a variety of daily specials.

Recent menu offerings include a chicken quesadilla, soft-shell beef tacos, a bacon pepperjack jalapeno burger, a turkey cranberry walnut house salad and more, according to the business’ Facebook page.

Bennie’s Pizza Pub

For pizza classics such as cheese and pepperoni or more unique options like dill pickle and crab rangoon, stop by Bennie’s Pizza Pub. You can also try Fitz’s Root Beer, a Bennie Punch cocktail or a variety of domestic beers.

Bennie’s has karaoke and live music going on this weekend, including performances by Danny Kalaher, Steve Ewing and Jason Garms.
