After closing earlier this month, a popular restaurant reopens with an updated look

After closing earlier this month for a remodel, 54th Street Scratch Grill & Bar in Shiloh reopened Monday.

Changes to the restaurant included a makeover of the bar side, a new bartop and stools, and the addition of new tables, seating and flatscreen televisions.

There are some new artifacts among the restaurant’s décor, according to Service Manager Vanessa Walter. She said the kitchen has new flooring and some new equipment as well.

Construction at the Shiloh restaurant began the week of Nov. 4.

The remodel follows those at other area locations this year, including Glen Carbon and two restaurants in Missouri.

The location at 3140 Green Mount Crossing Drive first opened in 2006. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
