If there's one type of Trader Joe's find I'm always excited to try new versions of, it's soup. Generally available in a variety of flavors year-round, Trader Joe's cuts no corners with its hearty, savory soup offerings. And even though we're heading into warmer months and many people are leaning toward lighter meals in preparation for summer, sometimes a cozy bowl of soup is exactly what you need to bring a little comfort back into the mix.

That's where Trader Joe's Lasagna Soup enters the picture, available for a limited time in a 20-ounce container for just $4.99. Seemingly made for the fall and winter months, this autumnal-inspired creation is truly a treat no matter the season, and if you're lucky, you can find it popping up at various points throughout the year. After recently snagging a container myself, all it took was one bite to realize I had a new easy dinner favorite on my hands.

Lasagna Soup With Turkey, $4.99 at Trader Joe's

Released exclusively during the fall season but spotted as recently as this week in select locations, Trader Joe's Lasagna Soup has become a no-brainer for easy dinner ideas. While it's designed as a seasonal fall and winter offering, Trader Joe's tends to keep it around toward the tail end of winter, meaning now is your final chance to score a container before it disappears until later in the year.

Made with a creamy, seasoned tomato broth, Lasagna Soup features miniature strips of al dente mafalda pasta, ground turkey crumbles and a blend of Asiago and Romano cheese. Easy to microwave or heat on the stove in minutes, it's steamy, aromatic and ready to serve almost immediately, making it a reliable option for cozy solo meals or family dinners alike.

Cozy, Hearty and Ready to Serve

While one container is technically good for one to two people, I found Trader Joe's Lasagna Soup entirely too easy to enjoy on my own. And as someone who was pretty much raised on lasagna, it perfectly captures the familiar, comforting flavors that have made the dish a favorite since childhood. The soup itself is rich, creamy and aromatic, with ground turkey, strips of pasta and a blend of cheeses that bring everything together beautifully.

As a cold-weather staple, this soup truly hits the mark as a must-try comfort food, though after my first serving, I was a little saddened by the thought that it won't be around for much of the year. That said, I do have plenty of tasty ideas for how to serve and elevate it, though in its simplest form, heated up and enjoyed as is, it would never disappoint.

How to Eat Trader Joe's Lasagna Soup

This soup heats in just a few minutes in the microwave and takes about five to six minutes on the stovetop over medium heat. Once ready, you can keep things simple by garnishing with oregano and Parmesan or Romano cheese, and pair it with garlic toast for extra texture and flavor.

If you want to take it to the next level, however, there are a few easy ways to upgrade it at home without too much extra effort. Stirring in a handful of shredded mozzarella right before serving can add a classic lasagna-style melt, while a spoonful of ricotta on top can bring out extra creaminess and richness.

From there, fresh parsley can brighten the entire bowl and cut through the savory depth of flavor, and a pinch of red pepper flakes could add a subtle heat that builds with each bite. And for even more texture, a drizzle of garlic butter or olive oil over your toasted bread would turn it into a full-blown comfort meal.

Be sure to keep an eye out for this savory soup concoction while it's still around, and if you do spot it before it disappears until fall, stock up your freezer so you can enjoy it when everyone else can't.
