WhistlePig Whiskey Just Dropped New Bottles That Look Like Vintage Piggy Banks
WhistlePig Whiskey has two summer exclusives heading out to commemorate America's 250th Independence Day, joining the growing list of companies to do so (which includes Buffalo Wild Wings, Coca-Cola, Disney, M&M's, Mountain Dew, and Pillsbury).
The popular distiller announced this week that it's launching one of its most beloved releases in a new, commemorative, vintage piggy-bank-style bottle and releasing a new "All-American" blend that also features nods to U.S. history in its packaging.
"Rye isn't just part of American whiskey history – it is American whiskey history," WhistlePig CEO Alex Roberts shared in a statement, explaining, "Before bourbon, there was Rye. Rye was a common grain in early American whiskey production and it defined how this country drank. As America turns 250, we're raising a glass to the original."

Its commemorative Rye, White & Blue PiggyBank is a patriotic take on WhistlePig's 10 Year Straight Rye Whiskey, offering "bold flavor and playful design," per the brand. It's the 110-proof Rye that "put WhistlePig on the map-turned up for the occasion" and packaged in a collectible decanter designed to look like a classic silver piggy bank.
WhistlePig's new Declaration Wheat Whiskey is made and aged to offer a "lighter, more approachable counterpoint to WhistlePig's rye-forward portfolio," according to the brand. It's crafted from an all-American blend with a high wheat mashbill, bottled at 86 proof, and double-aged in New American Oak to deliver a "smooth, balanced profile" for easy summer sipping. The limited-edition bottle is adorned with a cracked Liberty Bell topper to celebrate this year's monumental Fourth of July holiday.
Where Are the New WhistlePig Releases Available?
WhistlePig said its new summer whiskies are now available at select retailers (prices may vary) and online, direct from the brand for $73.99 to $249.99, but just for the summer season.
