Recipe of the Day: A new way to treat a marshmallow

If you spear the marshmallows securely, you can dip them right into the ice cream topping bottle, eliminating all the mess.

CARAMEL CRISP MARSHMALLOWS

24 large marshmallows

1 cup thick caramel ice cream topping

2-3 cups crisp rice cereal

Pierce each marshmallow with a toothpick. Holding the marshmallows by the toothpick, spoon ice cream topping over each (or dunk the marshmallows into the jar), let the excess drip off, then roll in the cereal to coat. Set on waxed paper and refrigerate to set. Makes 24.
