Metro East Humane Society
The Metro East Humane Society serves five counties and offers an adoption program for homeless animals. It also has the only licensed animal abuse/neglect investigator in the area.
How to help
Volunteers are needed for animal care, adoption events, fundraising and special events. Children 15 and younger are welcome to help with animal care, but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The Humane Society accepts cash donations and has a wish list on Amazon.com for everything from dog treats to mop buckets.
