Helping Others

Blessed to Give: MindsEye

MindsEye

MindsEye helps people who cannot read the printed word, including the blind and those with extremely low vision because of macular degeneration, cataracts or glaucoma, among other conditions. The organization provides recordings of newspapers and magazines. More than 180 volunteers record material that is then broadcasted to special radios distributed by MindsEye 24 hours a day. There also is a podcast on the organization’s website, www.mindseyeradio.org.

How to help

Read from local and national publications or help produce weekday recordings. The organization also has listener outreach and repairs radios to send to listeners.
