The Belleville Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul
The Belleville Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul helps the poor of Southern Illinois. The organization works to fight hunger, homelessness and poverty.
How to help
To stock its East St. Louis Thrift Store, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul takes donations of clothes, shoes, furniture, household items, décor, appliances and electronics so it can provide goods at a low-cost to those in need. The organization also accepts monetary donations as well as vehicle donations. People also may volunteer to help with fundraising, at the soup kitchen, on a soup bus and thrift store, among other things.
