‘Tis the weekend for St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville to present “The Glory of Christmas,” a classical tribute to Christmases gone by.

Philip Tinge and other violinists from Tinge Studios will join Belleville West’s Drumline and Color Guard and the church’s choir, orchestra and other cast members, including children and live animals.

“It’s excellent,” said church receptionist Dolly Moon. “It’s better than what you can see at the Fox Theatre, and there’s no charge. It’s just a love offering.”

Show time is 7 p.m. Dec. 11 and 12 with pre-production music at 6:30 p.m. by Steve Ladd and the St. Matthew orchestra (doors open at 6).

Signing for the hearing-impaired and child care for children 3 and under are available both nights. The church is at 1200 Moreland Drive. For more information, visit www.stmatthewumc.org or call 618-397-5994.

St. Paul concert

Admission is free. An offering will be collected. After the concert, there will be a reception with light refreshments.
