Meat shoot to benefit USO

American Legion Post 1255 in Belleville will host a meat shoot and wheel raffle to raise money for USO-Missouri from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Prizes include cash and a variety of meat. There also will be attendance-prize drawings and free sloppy Joes. The USO provides snacks, conversation, shelter and many other services to airmen, soldiers, marines and sailors in the U.S. military who are traveling. The public is encouraged to come to the fundraiser and show support. For more information, call 618-538-5445.
