50th anniversary of Our Lord’s Lutheran

Our Lord’s Lutheran Church is celebrating its 50th anniversary at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 21, at the Quilligan Center, St. John Neumann School, 142 Wilma Drive, Maryville. Bishop John Roth will lead the festival worship. An anniversary banquet with former pastors sharing their reflections with take place at 11:30 a.m. An open house will follow at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $12 for adults and children under 12 years of age are free. Rosary rally

St. Clare Church is having a rosary rally in honor of the 100th anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima from noon-1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, on the east lawn of St. Clare Church, 1411 Cross St., O’Fallon. This rally will be one of many taking place across the nation to commemorate the first appearance of Our Lady to three children in Fatima, Portugal. Information: anf.org or 618-416-1616.

Celebration of membership and centenarians

The First United Presbyterian Church will honor the 50-year members of its congregation and two of its centenarians at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 7, at the First United Presbyterian Church, 1303 Royal Heights Road, Belleville. A cake reception will follow the service. Information: 618-233-0295.

Bluegrass gospel concert

St. Peter’s Lutheran annual spring festival

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will have its spring festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 900 Church St., Evansville. This event will feature a car show, bounce houses, crafts, silent auction, plant sale, Ted Drewe’s frozen custard and food. All proceeds from the event will benefit the tuition fund for local students.

Sausage and pancake breakfast

St. John United Church of Christ will have a sausage and pancake breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at St. John Church, 21 N. Walnut St., Trenton. The breakfast features all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausage, eggs, and biscuits with gravy. Tickets for adults cost $8 and for children $4. Children under the age of two will be admitted for free.

First Presbyterian groundbreaking

The First Presbyterian Church will have a groundbreaking at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at 3601 Ridgeview Road, Edwardsville. Guests at the event include Edwardsville Mayor Hal Patton and The Rev. Pentecostals of Troy homemade tamales

The Pentecostals of Troy located on 8965 Route 162, Troy, will take orders for authentic tamales until May 10. The tamales can be chicken or pork. The cost is $15 per dozen or $8 per half dozen.
