A healing service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 19, in the church of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, 442 S. De Mazenod Drive, Belleville. All who seek healing are welcome to attend regardless of religious affiliation. Information: 618-277-0416.

Holy Dormition Parish lunches

The Holy Dormition Orthodox Parish is accepting preorders for its Lunch-to-Go program that will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at 300 N. 4th St., Benld. Collinsville priest celebrates 50 years of service

The Rev. Michael Kruse, who has served 50 years in the Catholic church including some time at St. Peter and St. Paul Parish in Collinsville, will be honored with an open house from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1119 S. Seventh St., Quincy. A special presentation will take place at 4:30 p.m.

Rev. Kruse will soon retire having been ordained a priest on May 20, 1967. His 50th Jubilee Masses will take place on May 20-21 in Quincy. Friends are encouraged to send congratulatory cards to blessedsac@adams.net or directly to the church. Information: 217-222-2759.
