Kids can learn about the War of 1812 at summer camp

The Col. Benjamin Stephenson House will have a summer camp for children to experience what it was like to be a militiaman in the Illinois Territory during the War of 1812.

It will take place from June 14-16 at the Stephenson House, 409 S. Buchanan St., Edwardsville, and is appropriate for children entering grades 5-7.

A registration fee of $85 covers all supply and snack costs. Space in the camp is limited to 12 participants. Information and to register: 618-692-1818.
