Optimist Club of Belleville

The club will have its next meeting at noon Tuesday, June 27, at Bellecourt Place, 126 N. Jackson St., Belleville. The speaker will be Matt Kolstermann and the program is, “National District of Character.” Dairy Queen is having a Dine and Donate night for the Optimist Club from 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 26, at 1776 Lebanon Ave. A percentage of ice cream sales that evening will go to the Belleville club.

Also, the Optimist Club is planning a trip to a Grizzlies game in the evening Tuesday, June 27, and the public is invited. If at least 20 people sign up for the trip, tickets will cost $9 each. Tickets may be reserved by calling: 618-277-5763.

O’Fallon Metro-east National Association for the Advancement of Colored People

The O’Fallon branch of the NAACP will have a meeting from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at the New Life in Christ Church, 689 Scott Troy Road. This event is open to the general public.
