Collinsville Class of 1947 reunion
The Collinsville Township High School class of 1947 will have its 70th class reunion at noon Friday, Sept. 8, at the Villa Marie Winery in Maryville. Reservations for this event are requested before Sept. 1. Attendees will be responsible for paying their own lunch bill and are encouraged to wear the school color — purple. Belleville West Class of 1967 reunion
The Belleville Township High School West Class of 1967 will have its 50th class reunion from Friday-Sunday, Oct. 6-8. Events during the weekend include a golf scramble at Tamarack Gold Course, dinner and music at the St. Clair Country Club in Belleville and a tour of the high school campus. 30th Annual Harry A. Penelton Golf Scramble
The Lincoln School Alumni Foundation’s annual golf scramble will be Saturday, Sept. 9, at Oak Brook Golf Course, Edwardsville. Registration is $100 per person. The entry deadline is Sept. 2. This event features golf, a live and silent auction, raffle, 50/50 drawing and attendance prizes. Troy Cemetery Board seeks assistance
Many tombstones in the St. Jerome Cemetery of Troy and St. John the Baptist Black Jack Cemetery of Troy are missing or illegible. The cemetery board members are looking for contacts who have information about or are a descendant of those buried at either or both cemeteries. Memorial’s ‘Healthy Lifestyle’ class
“Healthy Lifestyle,” an eight-week program created to help achieve personal weight loss goals, will begin 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Memorial’s Belleville Health and Sports Center, 1001 S. 74th St., Belleville. The class helps attendees find the right balance of diet and exercise, discover personalized exercise plans and includes group meetings with a registered dietitian. Edwardsville Parks and Recreation Department senior trip
All senior citizens 55 years and older are invited by Edwardsville Parks and Recreation to a day trip to learn about Jewish traditions Friday, Sept. 8. The tour is an introduction to Judaism for non-Jewish groups and includes a visit to the Holocaust Museum, synagogue, a Jewish cemetery and lunch at a kosher deli. The cost is $65 per person. The bus will leave at 8:15 a.m. from the parking lot next to the Main Street Community Center, 1003 N. Main St., Edwardsville. For reservations, call 618-692-7538.
