A healing service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the main church of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, 442 S. De Mazenod Drive, Belleville. All seeking healing, regardless of religious persuasion, are welcome. Information: 618-277-0416.

‘Living with Cancer’ program

The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows will have “Living with Cancer: A Day of Renewal to Inspire, Inform and Support Those Undergoing Cancer Treatment, Survivors and the Caregivers who Journey with Them,” from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at 442 S. De Mazenod Drive, Belleville. The program will be presented by Karen Tripp, president of Cancer Companions. The purpose of this free event is to inspire, inform and support those living with this disease, survivors of it and those who care for them. Though the program is free, registration is required. Sync Swim Seminar

The Fairview Heights Church of Christ will have “Sync Swim Seminar: Understanding and Connecting with your Teen in a Digital World,” on Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5, at 9955 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights. Seminar topics include youth culture in 2017, introduction to social media platforms, guideposts to moving forward and more. Continuing Professional Development Units are available to those who attend on Saturday. Presenters for this event are Andrew Baker, executive director of the Mitchell Center for Leadership and Ministry at Harding University, and Hanna Owens, director of digital media for the Harding University Communications and Marketing Office.
