These two boys are in need of an adoptive family

Rashawn, 8, right, and Marquise, 6, are looking for an adoptive family.

Holly Kieu, of the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition, says throughout the community there is a need for families to care for children in foster care. There is especially a need for families that can open their home for siblings like Rashawn and Marquise.

“The goal of foster care is to provide a temporary, safe home for children until they can safely return to their biological families. When this is not possible, the children may become free for adoption. An adoptive family is being sought for these brothers,” says Kieu.

Rashawn, 8, and Marquise, 6, enjoy spending time together, according to Kieu.

These two boys enjoy going to church and wish to continue to do so with their adoptive family.

“Others describe Rashawn as loving, sweet, and smart,” says Kieu.

Rashawn takes the role of big brother seriously and likes to teach his little brother how to do new things.

Marquise says that his older brother is “a lot of fun.”

Rashawn is an 8-year-old “with an infectious smile,” according to Kieu. He loves playing with Legos, Hot Wheels, and toy motorcycles.

Rashawn is always up for playing a board game especially his favorite, Uno Attack. He likes playing video games as well as playing basketball, football and soccer, outside with his friends.

Rashawn’s favorite color is teal and his favorite food is pizza rolls. Rashawn loves school and says his favorite subjects are math and reading.

“Marquise is an adorable 6-year-old with a great personality,” says Kieu.

Marquise loves playing with friends and action figures especially his favorite, Spiderman. He likes riding his bike outside and playing football and basketball with his big brother.

Marquise says his favorite colors are green and yellow. When he’s not busy playing, he likes to watch his favorite television show, Power Rangers.

Marquise’s favorite foods are hamburgers and French fries. Like his brother, he loves school and says his favorite subject is math.

“Marquise is a loving and caring child who is a joy to be around,” says Kieu.
