The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate invite the public to the 75th Anniversary of the Novena to Our Lady of the Snows. Events will take place from Saturday, July 28, through Sunday, Aug. 5, at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville.
The novena daytime presentations and devotions begin with a “Concert for Hope” performed by Eric Genuis from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 28, at the church of Our Lady of the Snows.
Mass will be held 7:30 p.m. each night at the Shrine Amphitheatre, if the weather permits. Confessions will be held before novena masses from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Vacation Bible School in O’Fallon
Vacation Bible School at the First United Methodist Church at 504 E. Highway 50, O’Fallon, will run from July 30 through August 3. This event is free and open to children from ages 3 years old to 5th grade. Spaces are limited.
The mission supported by the school this year is “Paper for Water”. The organization builds water wells in communities that don’t have access by folding origami and asking for donations for it. In 6 years, “Paper for Water” has raised over 1.5 million dollars and built over 160 water wells around the world.
